Coal Services Pty Limited (CSPL) was formed on 1 January 2002 pursuant to the provisions of the Coal Industry Act 2001. It merged the activities of the former Joint Coal Board and the Mines Rescue Board into one company with responsibility for providing workers’ compensation, occupational health and rehabilitation and mines rescue services to the New South Wales coal industry.
