Diesel Engine Testing Services
 Coal Mines Technical Services (CMTS) is accredited by the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) and licensed by the New South Wales Government Department of Primary Industry (NSW DPI) to carry out raw diesel exhaust gas and particulate analysis.
This service was primarily established to service the NSW coal industry but has expanded its operations to include the QLD coal industry, diesel equipment operating in metalliferous mines, general industry, ship hulls and road tunnel projects. The division has also been actively involved in research programs for new generation engines, dynamometer experiments and particulate filtering technologies.
CMTS has fully equipped mobile laboratories to enable the work to be carried out on site, providing timely and accurate analysis for the following components:
- Carbon monoxide (CO)
- Carbon dioxide (CO2)
- Nitrogen dioxide (NO2)
- Nitric oxide (NO)
- Diesel particulate matter (DPM)
