Apart from accreditation as an approved workshop under ISO/IEC 17020 and licensing with the New South Wales State Government Department of Primary Industries (NSW DPI) for the repair of intrinsically safe apparatus, Coal Mines Technical Services (CMTS) is also accredited by the National Association of testing Authority (NATA) in the field of Chemical Testing under ISO/IEC 17025 for the calibration of gas detection equipment.

Under its NATA Scope of Accreditation, CMTS is currently able to calibrate and certify in excess of 100 different models of gas detectors for both mining and industrial applications. The laboratory is one of the largest providers of this type of service in Australia.

A check list of some of the gas detectors that can be calibrated by CMTS is available to download below.

NOTE: Coal Mines Technical Services does not claim to be accredited by all manufacturers or their agents for the calibration of their gas detection devices. It does however carry out all calibration work in accordance with NATA requirements.
